NEW YORK, December 2, 2009 – Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), the leader in monitor proofing systems, today announces that Fogra has certified its Remote Director technology with FograCert Softproofing System 23420.

ICS Remote Director is compliant with all the criteria for FograCert Softproofing System 23420, which includes, but is not limited to: homogeneity, target gradation (“Gamma”), smoothness, profile accuracy, maximum contrast ratio, color gamut, correlated color temperature (CCT), luminance, grey balance, and colorimetrical accuracy.

The criteria visually checked include: smoothness of vignettes, visual match of the white points between the softproof and the contract proof (reference), general quality of the visual match between the softproof and the contract proof (reference) by means of a reference print. More information about the Fogra certification can be found at: http://fogracert.fogra.org.
“The Fogra Softproofing certification provides our growing European client base with a local validation beyond SWOP and GRACoL® certifications provided by IDEAlliance in the United States. The certification is further validation that our Remote Director proofing system provides unparalleled functionality and increases color accuracy and consistency to keep demanding production workflows on track,” says ICS President and CEO, Jeffrey Silverman.
“We are proud to offer agencies, brands, publishers, prepress shops and printers the confidence that this technology adheres to very strict standards set forth by Fogra, ultimately providing the utmost efficiency, saving valuable time and money.”
Remote Director
Remote Director makes it possible for multiple users in various locations to simultaneously access and view the contents of a color accurate proof, navigate the layout of the proof, utilize small digital “sticky notes,” discuss and comment on the proofs, and give instructions for corrections. Based on this process, a complete digital workflow creates a seamless documentation of the proofing process, including a legally binding “digital signature.”
