Maxim Color Technologies (MCT), a leading NYC pre-media company serving top advertising and publishing firms, has selected Remote Director from Integrated Color Solutions (ICS) as its monitor proofing solution. MCT has installed Remote Director to reduce hard copy proofing and associated costs incurred for client images being proofed between its New York, Florida and Hong Kong locations.

Remote Director will be used to standardize all retouching workstations at MCT’s three locations into one, utilizing a common color space. This will ensure that all MCT retouching operators will view the same color when working with client images, and all workstations will match the final contract proof. In addition, to improve the efficiency of its internal proofing process, MCT plans to utilize Remote Director virtual proofs (color accurate monitor proofs) to collaborate with selected clients.

“We chose Remote Director after thoroughly evaluating all available monitor proofing solutions. We found ICS’s Remote Director to be the category’s technology leader. We prefer to work with smaller, more agile and responsive suppliers such as ICS, as they can offer the level of personal service and user support we expect,” says Rob Bender, Chief Technology Officer of MCT.

“We’re gratified that leading companies like Maxim Color Technologies continue to recognize the value and benefits of Remote Director and choose to make it a critical component of their proofing process,” says ICS President and CEO, Jeffrey Silverman.

About Remote Director
Remote Director is the leader in monitor proofing systems, providing professionals and their clients with all the tools they need to create, view, annotate and collaborate on color accurate monitor proofs (virtual proofing). Everyone can finally move to a true, fully digital workflow — and simplify client interaction — while increasing color accuracy and consistency. Whether viewing a proof on press, creating a concept or contract proof to send to a client for approval, or just accessing an incoming proof — Remote Director provides unparalleled functionality and performance that keeps production workflows at pace with a demanding and dynamic marketplace.

Remote Director makes it possible for multiple users in various locations to simultaneously access and view the contents of a color accurate proof, to navigate the layout of the proof, utilize small digital “sticky notes,”  discuss and comment on the proofs, and give instructions for corrections. Based on this process, a complete digital workflow creates a seamless documentation of the proofing process, including a legally binding “digital signature.”

About Integrated Color Solutions
Integrated Color Solutions (ICS) pioneered accurate monitor proofing technology in 2000. Today, ICS is the only provider to offer the full range of proofing capabilities — from the simplest to the highest end color-accurate applications — in real time, on any mix of computing platforms and workflows, at any location in the world. Digital imaging and color science excellence are the hallmarks of ICS’s research and development team — responsible for several existing and pending ICS patents. The resulting technologies, including new spectral-based color processing, combine superior imaging with flexibility, practicality, easy integration with any existing workflow, DAM, file delivery or press-side solutions from 3rd parties — making ICS the first choice of users and vendors alike.

ICS is a privately held company with offices in New York City and Carlsbad, CA. In addition to selling directly via a worldwide distribution network, several OEM and integration partners have incorporated the same core ICS monitor proofing technology found in Remote Director into their own various workflow components and systems.

ICS is an environmentally responsible company. In addition to providing technology that fosters reduced waste, the company supports initiatives such as the Arbor Day Foundation.
